Seesmic Web Gets Lists, Geolocation and Trending Topic Support

Filed Under (Internet Marketing Idea, news, twitter) by pmuch-wp on 06-11-2009

seesmicweb-smOn Monday, Seesmic introduced Twitter Lists to Seesmic Desktop. Today, Team Seesmic is bringing Twitter Lists to the Seesmic Web client, as well as geolocation support and Trending Topics.

This brings Seesmic Web closer and closer to parity with the Seemic Desktop app and makes it one of the first web-based Twitter app with Lists support, besides Twitter.com and Brizzly.

You can add users to your Twitter Lists from Seesmic Web by selecting a drop down option under a username and choosing what list you would like to add the user to.

You can also choose what lists you want to view in the Seesmic Web viewer.

Geolocation support was announced by Twitter back in August and although some apps have started to take advantage of the feature, the feature has yet to be harnessed in a big way. Seesmic’s use of geolocation is a step in the right direction, though.
