The internet is the largest shopping mall and business centre in the world and an effective on-page optimisation strategy will give you access to the benefits and enormous sales opportunities offered by this global marketplace.Due to the influence of Google, on page optimisation is now a part of the bigger picture not the whole picture itself, as the Google algorithm defines links as votes for a website. On page optimisation consists of many factors. Typically on page optimisation refers to the way a page is designed and presented to help make it possible for search engines to crawl the page and to understand effectively what the page is about. On page optimisation are tools and technique that are applied to a specific webpage for better rankings on the design, content and layout of the page.

Optimisation is divided into two main elements: on-page optimisation and off-page optimisation. On-page optimisation covers many elements, some more important than others. What is the connection between webdesign and search engine optimisation services. A well performed on-page optimisation means the most important content on your website is highlighted, making it more attractive to both potential customers and search engines. These can include meta optimisation, title optimisation, keyword research and analysis, competitor research and analysis, body text optimisation, just to name a few.

META Description: The META description tag is used to describe your site. This incorporates navigational structures, meta data strategy and body content. Optimising web pages through tweaking Meta Tags and Title Tags whilst on its own not a highly effective as it once was, can still be a useful activity for most websites especially when combined with off site link building. Meta tags are an ideal place for relevant search terms or keywords.

Title Tag: Obviously your title tag should contain your keywords. Use a different title tag for each page of your site, including the keywords for each page in it’s title. This way each page will be optimised for its own keywords. Therefore your description should contain your targeted keywords for that page. Also, search engines can penalise a site if they think your site is stuffing keywords in the description tag in an attempt to rank higher. You want a realistic description for human eyes that also contains your keywords.Have your keyword in the title of the web page Content. Sprinkle your keywords in the content of the web page Bold, underline and italicise your keywords.Include H1 and H2 tags of your keywords(H1 and H2 are simply header tags).
Include your keywords as hyperlinks on your page to other pages Using images & image tags (alt tags) with their keyword embedded in the tag. The keyword meta tag tells the spiders what keyword searches you would like to be directed to your page.

Carefully selected keywords, do not do what they term keyword stuffing. Keywords that are highly competitive are often very difficult to place well for. Try to mention each keyword in a natural way as you are writing, but be sure to include at least one of the keywords per 1-2 paragraphs, depending on how large your page is. This includes keywords in running text, titles, headers links etc. This is especially important if you are operating in a highly competitive industry where certain keywords are popular.

Content Management for SEO and On-Page Optimization Part of on-page optimization is to make the content of your webpage, search engine friendly and this is called specifically as content management. static webdesign have the simple html code generated webpages while the dynamic webdesign in contrast to static webpages have the dynamic webpages where content is reloaded or regenerated on every next page visit. Be careful the websites linking back to you must be relevant to your site content or the links will be dismissed.”Duplicate content” should always be avoided.
